Rusty Antique Wire Bed Frame Made Into a Bench

Why oh why do I forget to take before pictures?  Not that there was much to this to begin with.  When I bought the log house from my brother this footboard (I still have the headboard) was in the bush in all of it's wonderful rusty beauty!  Johnny tried to throw it to the dump but I hid it away one day when he wasn't there.  Ha ha, he was pretty upset with me because I'm a "hoarder", no I'm not a hoarder, I am a junker, big difference!  Anyway, I figured out a way to attached the seat part to the footboard.  After that I used some old chair legs and some 2 X 4's to create this bench.

I dry brushed the footboard to bring out the details, but left the rustic look of it.
I had no idea what I was going to use for fabric when I remembered that I had this piece.  The two just seem to make a wonderful marriage!  I love the modern bold print with the antique look of the bench.

It's a happy little piece isn't it?

Chair Makeover, turquoise & pink; pink desk;orange headboard bench

My Son-in-law, Dan, gave me this chair, and I love it!  I could see it's potential immediately.

I stripped the worn old fabric off of it. (Sounds easy, but can be the worst part of the job)

I spray painted the wood in flat white.
I covered the seat and back in hot pink!
Then covered the seat cushion and back in a beautiful blue patterned satin fabric.  Although it doesn't show well there is quite a bit of pink in the blue fabric.

I bought this sofa table at a yard sale.

I spray painted it hot pink!

Then I covered it with brown stain,

and wiped most of it off.

Don't they look good together?

This is an old bed that I bought at a yard sale.

This isn't the best picture, but I stripped it, stained it, and varnished it.  I made it into this bench and then added a cushion covered with some fabric my friend Kris sent me from Thailand (thanks again Kris!).  I plan to do another bench or two soon, you know, when I have some spare time on my hands :)  I decided that our back deck needs a new bench, so I have a few ideas rattling around in my head.  I hope you enjoyed looking at these projects, I assure you that I enjoyed making them!
